A SUN-day kind of Tuesday.

Tuesday :)

“Ô, Sunlight! The most precious gold to be found on Earth.”

More at AmyOes.com YAY
Slowly but surely more of my pieces are being uploaded onto the mixed media gallery on amyoes.com - and today there is a glorious page 9!  So check it out!

Coming up!
I am so excited to tell you that the Beechwood Art's Salon Immersion Event on Resilience and the Power of the Human Spirit is all sold out!  I can't believe how quickly the tickets went, but for anyone that was interested in coming, there is a wonderful documentary being filmed of the creation of this salon that I will be very excited to finally see!
Beechwood Arts is centered around a big and beautiful Beechwood tree.  In mythology, the spirit of this tree has a great knowledge of the past, knowing how to use its life experience and memories to make the right changes in the present...

Lots of heART
I love seeing new pins popping up on the Show Me Your heART Pinterest board - it just shows ya, Spring is the perfect time for finding art all around us..  Just keep on breathing in experience and breathing out creativity...

...and Nature

I don't think the sun can get much brighter today, so I soaked it in through the window and did a little journaling...

We live in a world of caves, gardens, and underground passageways to
no place and everywhere.  We discover these enchanted pathways through
life experience – just by walking through this garden of pop-up colors and more texture than a beat up rug, more variety than a candy story of art supplies.

And just by our gratitude to we incorporate that external eye-candy as part of us.

It’s a subtle thing, gratitude, and the humility  to witness the glorious miracles which
take place every day.  And then the awe that comes with realizing, "Hey!  I'm a part of that!"

The art of living lies in these subtleties,

which open us up to witnessing what lies behind every cave – these
delicate miracles of everyday life, appearing for just an ephemeral
instant, and then turning to dust.

But as creators...we have the unique power to capture that moment in our mind's eye, our spirit and our hearts.  We can carry that piece of inspiration with us to always fill us with that satisfaction, that inward glow, that little giggle to ourself, and we can capture it on a canvas, in a song, in our words, and convey that to others - THAT is that gift of an artist.  An artist has the power to transform the world and offer his view to others, filling other folks with happy inspiration.  And we're all artists.
So let the season of giving begin!

Art...some in the studio - but man it's nice outside!

I just wanted to paint for fun by the window - too much sun to stay downstairs :)

Some good thoughts, scribbles and doodles for my wedding in (under) two months...
Rediscovered some lovely affirmations I had from a while back...

(They were in an old scrapbook which was fun to thumb through too...)

Out and About...

I've been really fixated on altering things lately after the fun I had with my $10 globe, so I scavenged Home Goods again delighted to see that they got a huge shipment of clocks - for $7!
So here's the question for you - I bought two clocks to alter - and I am quite QUITE excited about them.  However, it was really hard to make a selection.  Any guesses which two I chose?  (Hint:  I always go for what might make the best tree foundation of course!)

Before I go...
Half because it's beautiful out and my internet is terribly slow today.  So, if you're wanting to do some visual travel today, you can view the 40 breathtaking places to see before you die...
Or the 23 craziest Japanese inventions you never knew existed...

But you know what - it's beautiful out.

JUST TAKE A WALK!

“Any patch of sunlight in a wood will show you something about the sun which you could never get from reading books on astronomy. These pure and spontaneous pleasures are ‘patches of Godlight’ in the woods of our experience.”
― C.S. Lewis
